    Cloud Phone:Manage custom images

    Cloud Phone supports two types of images: system images and custom images. System images are provided by Alibaba Cloud and can only be queried and used. Custom images are images that you create from your Cloud Phone instances. You can create, query, use, and delete custom images.

    This topic describes how to create, modify, distribute, and delete custom images in the Cloud Phone console.

    Limits

    • You can create a maximum of 10 custom images. If you reach this limit, delete existing custom images before you create new ones.

    Prerequisites

    1. Log on to the Cloud Phone console.

    2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Manage Resource > Image.

    3. On the Image page, click the Custom Image tab.

    Note

    You can search for images by image ID or image name.

    Create a custom image

    1. On the Custom Image tab, click Create Image.

    2. In the Create Image panel, configure the following settings, and then click OK.

      • Enter an image name.

      • Enter a description. (Optional)

      • Select an active instance.

    After the image is created, you can view the creation progress and status in the Status column on the Custom Image tab.

    Modify the name of a custom image

    1. On the Custom Image tab, find the target image, hover the mouse pointer over the image name, and then click the icon that appears to the right.

    2. In the dialog box that appears, enter a new image name and click OK.

    Distribute a custom image to other regions

    You can distribute a custom image to other regions so that the image is available for use in those regions.

    1. On the Custom Image tab, find the target image, and then click Distribute in the Actions column.

    2. In the Distribute Image dialog box, select the regions to which you want to distribute the image, and then click OK.

      Note

      Existing applicable regions cannot be removed. Distributing an image to additional regions may take some time.

    Delete custom images

    You can delete one or more custom images that you no longer need.

    1. On the Custom Image tab, delete custom images by using one of the following methods:

      • Delete a single image: Find the target image and click Delete in the Actions column.

      • Delete multiple images: Select the images that you want to delete and click Delete at the bottom of the list.

    2. In the confirmation dialog box, click OK.
