E-MapReduce:Manage the Event Center (Hadoop clusters)

Limitations

• The Event Center supports only Hadoop clusters on EMR on ECS. To view events for DataLake, Dataflow, OLAP, DataServing, or custom clusters on EMR on ECS, see Manage events.

• The Event Center displays only events triggered by abnormal changes in the health status of service components in Hadoop clusters. This helps you identify risks and anomalies.

View events

1. Go to the Event Center page.

   1. Log on to the E-MapReduce console.

   2. In the top navigation bar, select a region and resource group.

   3. On the EMR on ECS page, click the Cluster ID of your cluster.

   4. Click the Monitoring tab.

2. On the Event Center page, filter for events.

   You can filter events by event code, event level, event source, event type, and time range.

   • Event level

     Parameter	Description
     CRITICAL	Critical
     WARN	Warning
     INFO	Information

   • Event type

     Parameter	Description
     Cluster	Indicates a status change of a cluster resource, such as the cluster itself, a node group, or a service.
     System	Indicates an event generated automatically by a service process, not by a user.
     HealthCheck	Indicates an exception found during a health check on a service, component, or node. Supported services: YARN, HDFS, Hive, Spark, ZooKeeper, Kudu, HBase, ClickHouse, Doris, StarRocks, Flink, Kafka, Presto, Tez, Kyuubi, Impala, Knox, OpenLDAP, and Ranger.

3. In the Actions column, click Details to view more information.

   Parameter	Description
   Event code	The unique code for an event. You can use an event code to search for similar events.
   Event name	The name of the event.
   Event level	The severity level of the event. Valid values: INFO, WARN, and CRITICAL.
   Occurred At	The time when the event occurred.
   Event type	The type of the event. Valid values: Cluster, System, and HealthCheck.
   Event source	The source that triggered the event. Node: HostName Component: Component name Service: Service name
   Event content	A detailed description of the event's cause.

Event alert subscription

On the Event Center page, click Subscribe to Event-triggered Alert in the upper-right corner to configure event-triggered alerts in the CloudMonitor console. For detailed instructions, see Create an event-triggered alert rule.
