:Modify the console permissions of a RAM user

Last Updated:Jun 13, 2022

After you create a RAM user, Elastic High Performance Computing (E-HPC) grants the RAM user all console permissions by default. You can modify the console permissions of the RAM user based on your needs. This topic describes how to modify the console permissions of a RAM user.

Prerequisites

A RAM user is created. For more information, see Create a RAM user.

Background information

By default, RAM users have all permissions on the E-HPC console and can use all menu items in the left-side navigation pane of the console. You can modify the console permissions of a RAM user to specify the menu items that are available to RAM users. For example, you can grant only the permissions on the menu items of the Cluster node to a RAM user. When you log on as the RAM user, you can view only the menu items of the Cluster node.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the E-HPC console by using an Alibaba Cloud account.

  2. In the top navigation bar, select a region.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Resource Management > User.

  4. On the User page, click the RAM user privilege for console page access tab.

  5. On the RAM user privilege for console page access tab, select the RAM user whose permissions you want to modify from the drop-down list.

  6. Clear or select permissions based on your needs, and then click OK.

After you log on as the RAM user or refresh the page, the permission settings take effect.
