Simple Log Service provides a data shipping feature that sends data to other Alibaba Cloud products, such as OSS and MaxCompute, directly from the console. This topic describes the concept, benefits, use cases, billing, and supported destinations of the data shipping feature.
Data shipping
Data shipping sends data collected by Simple Log Service to other Alibaba Cloud products directly from the console. This simplifies data storage and lets you use other services for data consumption. After you enable data shipping, Simple Log Service periodically sends your collected data to the configured destination.
Use cases
Data shipping is ideal for data storage and offline analysis. It has a typical latency of 5 to 30 minutes. The data retention period depends on the destination storage system.

You can use the data categorization features of Simple Log Service to send different types of data from different projects to specific destinations, such as different OSS buckets or MaxCompute tables.
Billing
