Alibaba Cloud Managed Service for Grafana allows you to start the Grafana runtime environment without the need to perform O&M operations. You can log on to the Application Real-Time Monitoring Service (ARMS) console with your Alibaba Cloud account to use Managed Service for Grafana. You can also authorize other accounts to use the service.
Managed Service for Grafana helps you efficiently analyze and view metrics, logs, and traces. You do not need to pay attention to complicated tasks such as server configurations and software updates. This improves O&M efficiency and reduces your workloads. In addition, the cloud-native capabilities of Alibaba Cloud improve the security and availability of Grafana Service.
Managed Service for Grafana provides various Alibaba Cloud data sources, such as ARMS, Prometheus Service, and SLS. It also provides dashboards for built-in data sources. In addition, you can use self-managed data stores in virtual private clouds (VPCs), such as Elasticsearch and InfluxDB.
Managed Service for Grafana is a data visualization platform and does not collect data on its own. Before you can visualize your data, use one of the following services to collect the data:
ARMS Application Monitoring: automatically instruments Node.js, Java, and Python applications to collect HTTP request latency and errors. For information about the Node.js agent, see Release notes for the Node.js agent.
Managed Service for Prometheus: collects infrastructure and application metrics, which you can then connect to Grafana over Remote Read.
Cloud Monitor custom monitoring: lets you report custom metrics by calling the
PutMetricDataoperation.
After the data is collected, add the corresponding data source to your Grafana workspace to visualize it.
