Last Updated:Nov 07, 2023

Private DNS allows you to query the logs of DNS record changes. The logs contain the following information: Operated At, Object, Operation, Operator, and Operator IP Address. Operations include adding, deleting, and modifying DNS records.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud DNS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Private DNS (PrivateZone). On the page that appears, click Configuration Mode in the upper-right corner, click the Built-in Authoritative Module tab, and then click the User Defined Zones tab.

  3. Find the desired zone and click Resource Records Settings in the Actions column.

  4. On the page that appears, click the Record Change Log tab. You can specify a time range or enter keywords to query the logs of DNS record changes. image.png

    Note

You can move the pointer over an operator to view the account ID that is used to change a DNS record.

Operated At: indicates the time when a DNS record was changed.

Object: indicates the hostname for which the DNS record was changed.

Operation: indicates the operation that was performed on a DNS record, such as adding, deleting, updating, resuming, or pausing a DNS record.

Operator: indicates the account that was used to change a DNS record. For example, the value of Operator can be Current Account (Main Account).

Operator IP Address: indicates the IP address of the client that changed a DNS record. The value of this parameter must be a public IP address. If the client that changed a DNS record uses a private IP address, the public IP address after network address translation (NAT) of the client is displayed here.
