:Activate Private DNS

Before you use Private DNS, you must activate it. This topic describes how to activate Private DNS.

Switch from Alibaba Cloud DNS PrivateZone to Private DNS

1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud DNS console.

2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Private DNS (PrivateZone). On the page that appears, click Traffic Analysis Mode. In this case, simulation data is displayed. To view the actual DNS data, click Enable.

3. Then, you can go to the new console to use the Private DNS service.

4. If you want to use the weight-based resolution and user-defined request lines features, click Configuration Mode in the upper-right corner.

Activate Private DNS as a new user

1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud DNS console.

2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Private DNS (PrivateZone). On the page that appears, click Traffic Analysis Mode. In this case, simulation data is displayed. If you want to view the actual DNS data, click Enable in the dialog box that appears. To configure Private DNS records, click Configuration Mode in the upper-right corner. Go to the service activation page and click Activate Now.

3. After the service is activated, you can go to the new console to configure Private DNS records and enable traffic analysis.
