Alibaba Cloud DNS:Perform batch operations

To help you quickly process large quantities of DNS records, Private DNS provides batch processing features, such as batch import and batch download.

Batch delete built-in authoritative zones

  1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud DNS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Private DNS (PrivateZone). In the upper-right corner of the page, click Configuration Mode. On the page that appears, click the Built-in Authoritative Module tab. On this tab, click the User Defined Zones tab.

  3. On the User Defined Zones tab, select the zones that you want to delete and click Batch Delete. image.png

  4. In the Delete Zone Confirmation message, click OK.

Batch import DNS records

  1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud DNS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Private DNS (PrivateZone). In the upper-right corner of the page, click Configuration Mode. On the page that appears, click the Built-in Authoritative Module tab. On this tab, click the User Defined Zones tab.

  3. On the User Defined Zones tab, find the desired zone and click Resource Records Settings in the Actions column.

  4. On the Resource Records Settings tab, click Batch Import. On the Import page, click Download Template.

  5. Edit the DNS records that you want to import in the template file, click Upload File, and then select the template file that you have edited to upload.

  6. Private DNS automatically generates an asynchronous task. You can click View Details on the Private DNS (PrivateZone) page to query the execution result of the asynchronous task. Alternatively, you can check whether the imported DNS records are correct on the Resource Records Settings tab. image.png

Batch disable, enable, or delete DNS records

  1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud DNS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Private DNS (PrivateZone). In the upper-right corner of the page, click Configuration Mode. On the page that appears, click the Built-in Authoritative Module tab. On this tab, click the User Defined Zones tab.

  3. On the User Defined Zones tab, find the desired zone and click Resource Records Settings in the Actions column.

  4. On the Resource Records Settings tab, select the desired DNS records, and then click Batch Disable, Batch Enable, or Batch Delete. image.png

  1. If you want to batch delete DNS records, click Batch Delete. In the Delete Resource Record Confirmation message, click OK.

    Note

    The preceding batch operations are asynchronous tasks. You can click View Details in the upper part of the Private DNS (PrivateZone) page to view the operation results in the Asynchronous Task dialog box.

Download DNS records

  1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud DNS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Private DNS (PrivateZone). In the upper-right corner of the page, click Configuration Mode. On the page that appears, click the Built-in Authoritative Module tab. On this tab, click the User Defined Zones tab.

  3. On the User Defined Zones tab, find the desired zone and click Resource Records Settings in the Actions column.

  4. On the Resource Records Settings tab, click the download icon on the right. image.png

  5. In the Export Resource Records dialog box, select the desired Export File Format, which can be xlsx or zone. Then, click OK.

  6. Click View Details in the upper part of the Private DNS (PrivateZone) page. In the Asynchronous Task dialog box, find the task and click Download.

Batch import zones.

You cannot import zones in batches.

Batch delete zones.

1 to 100 zones

A maximum of 50 zones can be displayed on each page in the Alibaba Cloud DNS console. Therefore, a maximum of 50 zones can be deleted in a batch. You can call an API operation to delete a maximum of 100 zones at a time.

Batch import DNS records.

You can only batch import DNS records by using an .xls file, an .xlsx file, or a zone file.

Only .xls, .xlsx, and zone files are supported.

1 to 1,000 records per time

You can import up to 1,000 DNS records at a time. The excess part is not imported.

2 MB per time

The size of each imported file cannot exceed 2 MB.

Batch delete DNS records.

1 to 100 records

The number of DNS records that can be batch deleted at a time.

Batch disable or enable DNS records.

The number of DNS records that can be batch disabled or enabled at a time.
