:View the information of a data source

This topic describes how to view the information of a data source in the Database Backup (DBS) console.

Procedure

  1. Access the Data Source page in the DBS console. In the top navigation bar, select a region. Then, click the ID of the desired instance.

    Note

    The state displayed in the Backup Status column on the Data Source page is the state of the default backup feature of a data source. For more information, see the Backup status of a data source section in this topic.

  2. On the Basic Information page, view the information of the data source. For example, you can view the information of databases and tables and query databases.

    View Database and Table Information

    Click View Database and Table Information. In the dialog box that appears, select an authorized account. The information of the databases and tables that the account is authorized to access is displayed.

    Note

    Before you perform this operation, you must add an authorized account. For more information, see Add a database account.

    Query Database

    Click Query Database to go to the Data Management (DMS) console. In the dialog box that appears, enter the added account and password. Then, query databases in the DMS console. For more information, see Use DMS to log on to an ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL instance.

    View instance Details

    Click View instance Details to view the details of the instance in the ApsaraDB RDS console.

    Whitelist for Instance

    Click Whitelist for Instance to view the whitelist of the instance in the ApsaraDB RDS console.

    View Instance Diagnosis

    Click View Instance Diagnosis to view the diagnosis information of the instance in the Database Autonomy Service (DAS) console. DAS provides multiple features such as diagnostics and autonomy center for ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL instances. For more information, see Overview of DAS.

    • The Physical/Snapshot Backup section displays the backup information of the ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL instance.

    • The Logical Backup section displays the backup information of the DBS backup instance.

Description

In Use

The default backup feature of the ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL instance is in use. This indicates that the backup feature configured for the ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL instance in the ApsaraDB RDS console is running as expected.

Unknown

The default backup feature of the ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL instance is in the Unknown state. The possible cause is that the ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL instance is locked, stopped, or released, and DBS cannot obtain the backup status of the ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL instance.
