You can bind computing resources on the workspace details page and in the Management Center. You can also view and bind computing resources on the management page in DataStudio.
Prerequisites
You have created a workspace and selected Use Data Studio (New Version).
Go to computing resource management
Go to the Workspaces page in the DataWorks console. In the top navigation bar, select a desired region. Find the desired workspace and choose in the Actions column.
In the navigation pane on the left, click
and select Computing Resources.
Associate computing resources
Click Associate Computing Resource and select a computing resource type.
This topic uses MaxCompute as an example. Configure the parameters to bind the MaxCompute computing resource.
NoteFor information about the configuration parameters for other computing resources, see Resource management.
Parameter
Description
MaxCompute project
Select the MaxCompute project to associate. You can also click Create in the drop-down menu to create a MaxCompute project and then select the new project.
NoteIf you chose to isolate the production and development environments when you created the workspace, you must select separate MaxCompute projects for each environment. You cannot use the same MaxCompute project for both.
For more information about the billing of MaxCompute computing resources, see Billing items and methods.
Default access identity
Defines the identity used to access this data source in the current workspace.
Development environment: Only the Executor identity is supported.
Production environment: Access as an Alibaba Cloud Account, a Alibaba Cloud RAM User, or a Alibaba Cloud RAM Role is supported.
Computing resource instance name
An identifier for the computing resource. When a task runs, the instance name is used to select the computing resource for the task.
Connection configuration
The resource group used to connect to the MaxCompute compute engine. You can test the connectivity here. If no resource group is bound to the current workspace, you can leave this unselected.
NoteIf no resource group is available, create a resource group and bind it to the workspace. You can then test the connectivity to the computing resource on the details page of the workspace. For more information, see Use a Serverless resource group.
Click OK.
