Dataphin:Automatic listing

Last Updated:Mar 05, 2025

Automatic listing schedules the listing or enhances the property information of asset objects based on predefined rules. This process minimizes manual management costs and increases the efficiency of rule management.

Prerequisites

  • Table / Metric assets / Dashboard assets: Purchased asset operation value-added service and the current tenant has activated the asset operation module.

  • API assets: Purchased asset operation value-added service and purchased DataService Studio feature.

Automatic listing rule description

Automatic listing settings consist of rule groups and rules. Rule groups manage a collection of rules that apply to the same asset scope. To prevent conflicts from concurrent rule execution, the asset scopes of different rule groups must not overlap.

  • Rule groups and rules have a one-to-many relationship. You can first define the asset scope for the rule group and then configure more specific effective objects for each rule within the group.

  • A rule group can contain multiple rules. Different rule groups execute in parallel, while rules within the same group execute sequentially. You can order the rules within a group, and the order can affect the execution outcomes. It is advisable to sort them in the order of not listing temporarily > information enhancement > automatic listing.

    • Not listing temporarily: To minimize resource consumption, it is recommended to execute the not listing temporarily rule before the information enhancement rule.

    • Information enhancement: For the same asset object, it is advisable to execute the information enhancement rule before the automatic listing rule.

    • Automatic listing: This allows assets to be listed sequentially according to the rules of the specified rule group.

    • Different rule sorting affects execution results: Different operations can be executed based on the asset status. For instance, assets not listed temporarily do not support automatic listing. Only quasi-assets are eligible for the not listing temporarily operation. Thus, varying execution sequences can lead to different outcomes.

    • Execution results: Each execution result related to an asset and the description of any abnormalities for each rule are recorded as individual records. You can filter by specific rules to check the execution status of all assets within that rule, or filter by specific assets to view their change history under the overall rules of the rule group.
