Dataphin data source cloud migration includes the following two typical solutions. Their features and applicable scenarios are as follows:
Internet Direct Connection: Internet Direct Connection refers to connecting a data source directly to Alibaba Cloud Dataphin over the Internet using a public IP address. Because it uses a direct connection via a public IP address, the data source is exposed to the Internet, making it susceptible to network attacks and introducing security risks. Use this method for temporary testing or scenarios with low security requirements.
VPC Network Connectivity: A VPC (Virtual Private Cloud) is a virtualized private network environment. You can create virtual networks, subnets, route tables, and other network devices in your Alibaba Cloud VPC. You can connect your VPC to other Alibaba Cloud VPCs using VPN or leased line connections to build a private network environment. This approach is suitable for scenarios that require high network security, such as enterprise internal applications and sensitive data processing. With VPC network connectivity, you can build a private network environment in the public cloud that resembles a data center and provides data isolation and security protection.
