This topic describes how to disable an alert rule that is configured for a custom metric. If you disable an alert rule, you will no longer receive alert notifications that are generated based on the alert rule. If you enable the alert rule again, Cloud Monitor resumes sending alert notifications based on the alert rule.
Prerequisites
The alert rule that you want to disable is in the Enabled state.
Procedure
Log on to the Cloud Monitor console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
Click the Alert Rules tab.
Find the alert rule that you want to disable and click Disable in the Actions column.
In the Disable Alert Rule message, click Confirm.
