You can use the Cloud Monitor agent installed in your hosts, including Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instances, to collect data of network metrics. The metrics include network interface controller (NIC) bandwidth, number of NIC inbound packets, number of NIC error packets, and number of network connections. You can configure alert rules for these metrics. If a metric triggers an alert, alert notifications are sent so that you can troubleshoot the problem in a timely manner.
Prerequisites
The Cloud Monitor agent is installed in the host that you want to monitor. For more information, see Manage a Cloud Monitor agent.
Metrics
For information about network metrics of ECS instances, see ECS metrics.
