This topic describes the billing methods and resource plans of Network Analysis and Monitoring.

Billing methods

Bills for Network Analysis and Monitoring are generated on a daily basis.

To activate Network Analysis and Monitoring, go to the buy page.

Fees for using Network Analysis and Monitoring = Number of detection points × Unit price of detection points. The unit price of detection points varies depending on whether the detection points are provided by carriers in China or outside China:
  • If you use detection points provided by carriers in China, the unit price is USD 1.7 per 10,000 detection points (USD 0.00017 per detection point).
  • If you use detection points provided by carriers outside China, the unit price is USD 8.4 per 10,000 detection points (USD 0.00084 per detection point).
Note
  • Carriers in China are carriers that are registered in China, such as Alibaba, China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom.
  • Carriers outside China are carriers that are registered outside China, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google.

Resource plans

You can purchase resource plans that provide detection quotas. Resource plans are relatively cost-effective.

To purchase resource plans, go to the buy page.

The price of a resource plan is USD 1.3 per 10,000 detection points.

You can purchase multiple resource plans. Resource plans are used to offset the fees of Network Analysis and Monitoring based on the order in which you purchased the resource plans. If all resource plans are used up, the billing method switches to pay-as-you-go.
Note If a resource plan expires but is not used up, the quotas in the resource plan are automatically cleared.
A resource plan is used to offset fees based on the following rules:
  • If you use detection points provided by carriers in China, one quota in the resource plan offsets the fee of one detection request.
  • If you use detection points provided by carriers outside China, five quotas in the resource plan offset the fee of one detection request.

Billing example

For example, you activated Network Analysis and Monitoring and created a site monitoring task on November 1, 2021. The task sends requests to detection points that are located in 20 regions of China Mobile and 10 regions of AWS at a frequency of 5 minutes. The following items show the fees in November:
Note If you have purchased a resource plan, the quotas in the resource plan are used to offset fees first. After the quotas in the resource plan are used up, you are charged based on the following rules.
  1. Detection fee for China Mobile = 60 minutes / 5 minutes × 24 hours × 30 days × 20 detection points × USD 1.7/10,000 = USD 29.376
  2. Detection fee for AWS = 60 minutes / 5 minutes × 24 hours × 30 days × 10 detection points × USD 8.4/10,000 = USD 72.576
  3. Total detection fee in November = USD 29.376 + USD 72.576 = USD 101.952
