You can configure alert rules for metrics in host monitoring, instances in cloud service monitoring, and metrics in custom monitoring. You can set the application scope of an alert rule to all resources, an application group, or an instance.

CloudMonitor can send alert notifications by using multiple methods, such as emails and DingTalk chatbots. If you use TradeManager, you can receive alert notifications only on TradeManager for PCs. You can also install the Alibaba Cloud app to receive alert notifications.

Alert rules for host monitoring

You can configure alert rules for all metrics in host monitoring. CloudMonitor can detect alerts at a minimum interval of 1 minute.

Alert rules for cloud service monitoring

You can configure threshold-triggered alert rules for performance consumption metrics of resources in various cloud services. You can also configure event-triggered alert rules based on the status of instances or services.

Alert rules for custom monitoring

You can configure alert rules for custom metrics that are reported by calling the PutCustomMetric operation. If the value of a metric reaches the specified threshold, CloudMonitor sends alert notifications by using the specified method.

Custom event-triggered alert rules

You can configure alert rules for events that are reported by calling the PutCustomEvent operation. If a reported event meets an alert condition, CloudMonitor sends alert notifications by using the specified method.
