Cloud Firewall:[Announcement] Commercial release of protection for public IPv6 addresses

Starting January 8, 2025, Cloud Firewall protects public IPv6 addresses under both subscription and pay-as-you-go billing methods, so you can secure your IPv6 workloads the same way you secure IPv4 workloads today. More protection modules now support IPv6 traffic.

Billing

IPv6 and IPv4 addresses follow the same billing rules. The table below shows which billable items are newly supported for IPv6.

Protected Public IP Addresses

Supported. For more information, see Billing of Cloud Firewall that uses the subscription billing method.

Newly supported. For more information, see Billing of Cloud Firewall that uses the pay-as-you-go billing method. (The billing rules for IPv6 and IPv4 addresses are the same.)

Protected Internet traffic

Newly supported. For more information, see Billing of Cloud Firewall that uses the subscription billing method. (The billing rules for IPv6 and IPv4 addresses are the same.)

New protection modules

To enable the Internet firewall for IPv6 addresses, go to the Firewall Settings page, click the Internet Firewall tab, and then click the IPV6 tab.

The following modules now support IPv6.
