ApsaraDB for ClickHouse:View cluster monitoring information

Last Updated:Jul 17, 2026

View common resource usage for your ApsaraDB for ClickHouse cluster through the ApsaraDB for ClickHouse console or the CloudMonitor console.

Prerequisites

  • The cluster is a Community-compatible Edition or Enterprise Edition cluster.

  • Application Real-Time Monitoring Service (ARMS) manages alerts for ApsaraDB for ClickHouse. If you are a RAM user, you must have the AliyunARMSFullAccess permission. For more information about how to grant permissions, see Manage RAM user permissions.

Limitations

  • You cannot view monitoring information for Enterprise Edition clusters in CloudMonitor.

  • For Community-compatible Edition clusters that were purchased before December 1, 2021, you must manually enable Prometheus for Alibaba Cloud. To do this, go to the Cluster Monitoring page and click Upgrade ClickHouse.

    Important

This operation restarts the ClickHouse nodes and ZooKeeper nodes. We recommend that you perform this operation during off-peak hours or when data writes are stopped.

FAQ

Q: Why do CPU utilization and memory usage vary significantly between nodes?

In a dual-replica or single-replica multi-node cluster, the write node has higher CPU usage and memory usage than other nodes during heavy write operations. Usage balances out across the nodes once the data is synchronized.

Q: Why are there gaps in the monitoring data?

Common causes include:

  • A query triggering an OOM error.

  • An instance restart triggered by a configuration change.

  • An instance restart following an upgrade or downgrade.
