CDN:How am I billed for using POPs in the Chinese mainland if my origin server is located outside the Chinese mainland?

Last Updated:Apr 01, 2026

If your origin server is located outside the Chinese mainland — such as in Hong Kong (China), Macao (China), or Taiwan (China) — and you route traffic through points of presence (POPs) in the Chinese mainland, charges apply at Chinese mainland billing rates. Billing is based on the outbound traffic of the POPs, not on origin fetch traffic.

Warning

Using Chinese mainland POPs with an origin server outside the Chinese mainland degrades acceleration performance, because origin fetch requests travel a longer path and may incur higher latency. If your origin server and users are both outside the Chinese mainland, use POPs outside the Chinese mainland instead.
