To access Managed Service for Prometheus over a virtual private cloud (VPC) from an Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instance in a different region or from a data center, you must use a Cloud Enterprise Network (CEN) instance, an Express Connect circuit, a leased line, or a VPN to connect to the VPC of the region where Managed Service for Prometheus is deployed. You must also configure a route that points to the CIDR block of Managed Service for Prometheus. This topic describes the VPC endpoints and the corresponding CIDR blocks that are used to access Managed Service for Prometheus in all regions.
Precautions
Managed Service for Prometheus assigns a separate CIDR block for Prometheus instances in each region. You must configure routes to Prometheus instances in each region based on the table VPC endpoints and the corresponding CIDR blocks of Managed Service for Prometheus.
If you access Managed Service for Prometheus over a VPC from an ECS instance, you must configure the security group rules of the ECS instance to allow access to the CIDR blocks that are included in the table VPC endpoints and the corresponding CIDR blocks of Managed Service for Prometheus.
Managed Service for Prometheus switches IP addresses within the assigned CIDR block. If the route configurations do not include the required CIDR blocks, Managed Service for Prometheus may be inaccessible. In this case, you are liable for the loss and damage caused by the inaccessibility of the service.
