Access Application Monitoring data with Prometheus
By default, Alibaba Cloud Managed Service for Prometheus integrates with the Application Monitoring data source of Application Real-Time Monitoring Service (ARMS). You can use Managed Service for Prometheus to access Application Monitoring data, view preset dashboards, and perform custom development.
Prerequisites
An agent has been installed on your application. For more information, see Application Monitoring overview.
Use cases
Display ARMS Application Monitoring data on your self-managed Grafana by using Prometheus monitoring.
Perform custom development on ARMS Application Monitoring data by using Prometheus monitoring.
View the Application Monitoring instance
Log on to the ARMS console. In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
In the top navigation bar of the Instance List page, select the region where the Application Monitoring instance is located. An instance with an Instance Type of Prometheus Instance for Application Monitoring is integrated by default.
The instance list displays information such as instance name, instance ID, tags, Grafana workspace, creation time, and payment method. In the Actions column, you can click Settings or Uninstall for an instance.
Click the name of the Application Monitoring instance to view preset dashboards and obtain information such as the Remote Read address, HTTP API address, and token.
View preset dashboards
On the Dashboards page, you can view the preset dashboards for Application Monitoring. For more information about the metrics on the dashboards, see Application Monitoring metrics.
Obtain HTTP API address and token
On the Settings page, find the HTTP API address and token.
You can use this HTTP API address and token to connect Application Monitoring data to your self-managed Grafana. For more information, see Connect Prometheus monitoring data to a self-managed Grafana.
