Application Real-Time Monitoring Service:[Product changes] Discontinuation of default log sources of the application logs association feature

Last Updated:Mar 12, 2024

Due to business changes of Application Real-Time Monitoring Service (ARMS) Application Monitoring, default logs are no longer supported in the Log Collect Configuration section of the application settings from February 29, 2024. You can use Simple Log Service as the log source instead.

  • If you have not configured the application logs association feature, ARMS directly removes the default logs option and retains only the Simple Log Service option.

  • If you have configured the application logs association feature and selected Simple Log Service as the log source, ARMS directly removes the default logs option and retains only the Simple Log Service option.

  • If you have configured the application logs association feature and selected default logs as the log source, ARMS retains the default logs option.

We recommend that you use Simple Log Service as the log source. Simple Log Service supports real-time query and analysis of petabytes of data, and provides more than 10 operators, more than 10 machine learning functions, and more than 100 SQL functions. After you associate your application with Simple Log Service, ARMS embeds the query page of Simple Log Service for log analysis. For more information, see Analyze logs collected by Log Service.

After you configure Simple Log Service as the log source, ARMS removes the default logs option.
