Application Real-Time Monitoring Service (ARMS) allows you to filter alerts based on the filter conditions that you specify on the Alerts page. Then, you can view and manage historical alerts on the page.

Go to the Alerts page

  1. Log on to the ARMS console .
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Alert Management > Alert Sending History.

View alerts

On the Alerts page, you can view basic information about alerts, such as the alert level, the alert name, the user who handles the alert, the time when the alert is generated, and the status.

Alerts

On the Alerts page, you can perform the following operations based on your business requirements:

  • View historical alerts: Specify filter conditions and click Search.
    Note To specify more filter conditions, turn on More.
    Parameter Description
    Alert name The name of the alert rule based on which alerts are triggered.
    Alert Status The status of alerts. Valid values:
    • To Be Claimed
    • Processing
    • Resolved
    Alert Level The level of alerts. You can specify the level of an alert when you create an alert rule of Prometheus Service. If an alert is generated based on an alert rule that is configured for application monitoring or browser monitoring, the alert level is Default.

    Valid values:

    • Default
    • P1
    • P2
    • P3
    • P4
    • P5
    Handled By The user who handles alerts.
    More
    Notification Policy The notification policy that is configured for the alert rule.
    Integration Type The type of the service integration that reports the alert events. Valid values:
    • Prometheus: self-managed Prometheus instances
    • ARMS: the alert events that are reported by all features of ARMS.
    • Log Service: the alert events that are reported by Log Service.
    • Cloudmonitor: the alert events that are reported by CloudMonitor.
    • Custom Integration: the alert events that are reported by custom service integrations.
    • ARMS Browser Monitoring: the alert events that are reported by the browser monitoring feature of ARMS.
    • ARMS-Application Monitoring: the alert events that are reported by the application monitoring feature of ARMS.
    • ARMS-Prometheus monitoring: the alert events that are reported by Prometheus Service.
    • ARMS-Custom monitoring: the alert events that are reported by the custom monitoring feature of ARMS.
    • ARMS-tracing: the alert events that are reported by Tracing Analysis.
    Created At The time range during which alerts are generated.
  • View the details of an alert: Click the name of the alert whose details you want to view. For more information, see View details of an alert.
  • Handle alerts: You can claim an alert in the To Be Claimed state or handle an alert in the Processing state. You can also specify the user who handles the alert or change the level of the alert. For more information, see Handle alerts.

View details of an alert

You can view the level, notification content, and status of an alert on the Alert Details page. You can also view basic information, the related alert events, and notification activities of an alert.

Alert Details

On the Alert Details page, you can perform the following operations:

Claim an alert in the To Be Claimed state or handle an alert in the Processing state. In addition, specify the user who handles the alert or change the level of the alert. For more information, see Handle alerts.

The Details, Event, and Movable tabs provide the following information:

  • You can view the time when the alert is generated, the object that triggers the alert, the user who handles the alert, and the recipient of the alert notifications on the Details tab
  • You can view the events related to the alert, the time when each alert event is generated, and the status of each alert event, on the Event tab. After you click the name of an alert event, you can view the details of a specific alert event. For more information, see View details of an alert event. Event tab
  • You can view the notification activities of the alert on the Movable tab. Movable tab

View details of an alert event

You can view the basic information, monitoring data, and extended fields of an alert event on the Event Details page.

Event Details
In the Monitoring data section of the Event Details page, you can perform the following operations:
  • From the drop-down list in the Monitoring data section, select a specific period of time to display data before and after an alert is triggered. You can select six hours, twelve hours, or one day from the drop-down list.
  • Use the mouse to select a time range to view the specific statistics in the specified time range. To view the monitoring data that is generated within the original time range, click Reset.

Handle alerts

In the ARMS console, you can claim an alert in the To Be Claimed state or handle an alert in the Processing state. You can also specify the user who handles the alert or change the level of the alert.

  1. Associate a mobile phone number with a DingTalk account.
    1. Click View Details in the alert card in the DingTalk group.
    2. If you view the alert information in the DingTalk group for the first time, the Binding Mobile Phone Number dialog box appears. Enter the phone number that is associated with the DingTalk account and click Send Verification Code.
    3. Enter the verification code that you receive on your phone and click OK.
  2. Log on to the ARMS console .
  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Alert Management > Alert Sending History.
  4. On the Alerts page, select the user who handles the alert from the Handled By drop-down list.
    Note
    • The name of the user is the nickname of your DingTalk account.
    • Multiple users may use an Alibaba Cloud account at the same time. Therefore, you configure the Handled By parameter to specify the user who handles alerts.
  5. On the right of an alert or on the Alert Details page that appears after you click the name of an alert, you can perform the following operations on the alert:
    • Click Claim to specify the current user as the user who handles the alert.
    • Click Resolve to handle the alert.
    • Click the More icon and select Specifies the alert handler. to specify a contact in a DingTalk group as the user who handles the alert.
    • Click the More icon and select Modify Alert Level to change the level of the alert.
