    Application Real-Time Monitoring Service:Manage cloud services

    Managed Service for Grafana allows you to integrate Alibaba Cloud services and synchronize data sources and dashboards of the cloud services. You can view and manage the cloud services on the Workspace Management page in the Alibaba Cloud Management console.

    View integrated cloud services

    1. Log on to the ARMS console. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Managed Service for Grafana > Workspace Management.

    2. On the Workspace Management page, click the ID of the workspace that you want to manage.

    3. On the Workspace information page, the Cloud Service Integration section displays the cloud services that you can integrate with one click.

      You can use Managed Service for Grafana to synchronize the data sources and dashboards of the following cloud services with one click. You must manually add the data sources of other cloud services. For more information, see Add data sources.

      • Application Monitoring

      • Prometheus Service

      • Prometheus for Cloud Services

      • Hybrid Cloud Monitoring

      • Alert Management

      • Log Service

    Synchronize data sources and dashboards of Application Monitoring in ARMS

    1. In the left-side selection area of the Cloud Service Integration section, click Application Monitoring Service.

      Note

      If Application Monitoring Service is not displayed on your page, report the issue in the Grafana DingTalk group (group number: 34785590) for technical support to help you update your service.

    2. On the right side of the Cloud Service Integration section, find the data source that you want to synchronize and click Synchronize in the Actions column. In the dialog box that appears, click OK.

      If the value of the Status field is Synchronized, the data source and dashboards are synchronized.

    3. Click Folder in the Actions column of the data source.

      On the Dashboards page of Grafana, you can view the folder in which the dashboards of the data source are located.

    4. Optional:In the left-side navigation pane of the Grafana console, choose Settings icon > Data sources.

      On the Data sources tab of the Configuration page, you can view all synchronized data sources.

    Synchronize data sources and dashboards of Prometheus Service

    1. In the left-side selection area of the Cloud Service Integration section, click Prometheus Service.

    2. On the right side of the Cloud Service Integration section, find the data source that you want to synchronize and click Synchronize in the Actions column. In the dialog box that appears, click OK.

      If the value of the Status field is Synchronized, the data source and dashboards are synchronized.

    3. Click Folder in the Actions column of the data source.

      On the Dashboards page of Grafana, you can view the folder in which the dashboards of the data source are located.

      Note

      The preset dashboards vary based on the type of the Prometheus instance.

    Synchronize data sources and dashboards of Prometheus for Cloud Services

    1. Create a Prometheus instance to monitor specific cloud services. For more information, see Create a Prometheus instance to monitor Alibaba Cloud services.

    2. In the left-side selection area of the Cloud Service Integration section, click Prometheus for Cloud Services.

    3. On the right side of the Cloud Service Integration section, find the data source that you want to synchronize and click Synchronize in the Actions column. In the dialog box that appears, click OK.

      Note

      Click Configure Cloud Service Monitoring to add cloud services that you want to monitor by using Prometheus Service.

      If the value of the Status field is Synchronized, the data source and dashboards are synchronized.

    4. Click Folder in the Actions column of the data source.

      On the Dashboards page of Grafana, you can view the folder in which the dashboards of the data source are located.

    Synchronize data sources and dashboards of Hybrid Cloud Monitoring

    1. In the left-side selection area of the Cloud Service Integration section, click Hybrid Cloud Monitoring.

    2. On the right side of the Cloud Service Integration section, find the data source that you want to synchronize and click Synchronize in the Actions column. In the dialog box that appears, click OK.

      Click Configure Hybrid Cloud Monitoring to add cloud services that you want to monitor by using CloudMonitor.

      If the value of the Status field is Synchronized, the data source and dashboards are synchronized.

    3. Click Folder in the Actions column of the data source.

      On the Dashboards page of Grafana, you can view the folder in which the dashboards of the data source are located.

    4. Optional:In the left-side navigation pane of the Grafana console, choose Settings icon > Data sources.

      On the Data sources tab of the Configuration page, you can view all synchronized data sources.

      Note

      Managed Service for Grafana generates default dashboards based only on the metrics of data sources that you added to CloudMonitor. If the required data is not displayed in the dashboard, you can click Configure Hybrid Cloud Monitoring in the Cloud Service Integration section of the Workspace information page in the Alibaba Cloud Management console.

    Synchronize data sources and dashboards of Alert Management in ARMS

    1. In the left-side selection area of the Cloud Service Integration section, click Alert Management.

    2. On the right side of the Cloud Service Integration section, find the data source that you want to synchronize and click Synchronize in the Actions column. In the dialog box that appears, click OK.

      If the value of the Status field is Synchronized, the data source and dashboards are synchronized.

    3. Click Folder in the Actions column of the data source.

      On the Dashboards page of Grafana, you can view the folder in which the dashboards of the data source are located.

    Synchronize data sources and dashboards of Log Service

    Grafana allows you to configure the service-linked role for ARMS AliyunServiceRoleForARMS to access Log Service. If you have not added this role to your Alibaba Cloud account, you are navigated to the authorization page. Refer to the on-screen instructions to complete authorization. For information about how to configure the AliyunServiceRoleForARMS role to a RAM user, see Service-linked role for ARMS.

    1. In the left-side selection area of the Cloud Service Integration section, click log service.

    2. On the right side of the Cloud Service Integration section, click Create Log Service Data Source. In the panel that appears, configure the Region, Project, and logstore parameters. Then, click Confirm.

      Note

      If the AliyunARMSFullAccess system policy is not attached to your Alibaba Cloud account, attach the system policy as prompted.

      If the value of the Status field is Synchronized, the data source and dashboards are synchronized.

    3. Click Folder in the Actions column of the data source.

      On the Dashboards page of Grafana, you can view the folder in which the dashboards of the data source are located.

      Note

      The folder and dashboards are generated only for Logstores of Kubernetes events. If no folder is available on the Dashboards page of Grafana, the Logstore that you specified does not have dashboards.

    4. Click Explorer in the Actions column of the data source to view the Log Service data in Grafana.
