When a server is under a flood attack, the monitoring system automatically detects the attack and scrubs the unusual traffic. You can manually cancel traffic scrubbing for assets that are assigned public IP addresses and are in the Cleaning state. This topic describes how to cancel traffic scrubbing.
Background information
Traffic scrubbing is the real-time monitoring of data streams that enter a server to promptly detect unusual traffic, such as DDoS attacks. It scrubs unusual traffic to ensure service availability without affecting normal business operations.
You can manually cancel traffic scrubbing a maximum of three times per day for an Alibaba Cloud account.
Procedure
Log on to the Traffic Security console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Event Center.
In the Actions column of the target event, click View Details.
On the IP Address Details page, click Cancel Traffic Scrubbing.
What to do next
After you cancel traffic scrubbing, increase the scrubbing threshold as needed to prevent it from being triggered again. For example, you may need to handle increased traffic during special events or sales promotions. For more information, see Set scrubbing thresholds.
The maximum scrubbing threshold depends on the specifications of your cloud service instance. If the maximum configurable scrubbing threshold does not meet your requirements, upgrade your cloud service instance.
