Dear Alibaba Cloud Certificate Management Service users,
On August 15, 2022 (UTC+8), Alibaba Cloud adjusted the sales plans of Entrust SSL certificates due to feature adjustments. Alibaba Cloud provides a replacement plan for users. Alibaba Cloud rolls out the following sales plans:
- From August 15, 2022 (UTC+8), Entrust certificates are suspended from sale.
- From the middle of November, 2022 (UTC+8), Entrust certificates are suspended from renewal.
Replacement plan
If you purchased an Entrust certificate before August 12, 2022 (UTC+8), Alibaba Cloud
provides you a discount of 50% on purchasing a one-year GlobalSign certificate from
August 15, 2022 (UTC+8) to February 28, 2023 (UTC+8). To replace your Entrust certificate,
perform the following steps:
- Consult your account manager for the replacement plan. If your account manager cannot be reached, join the DingTalk group numbered 44851646. The group is dedicated for the Entrust certificate replacement plan.
- Contact the technical experts in the DingTalk group and provide the ID of your Alibaba
Cloud account. The technical experts check whether your account meets the requirements
of the replacement plan.
The technical experts review your application within two business days after they receive the application.
- If your account passes the verification, you can receive the discount on purchasing a one-year GlobalSign certificate.
- If your account does not pass the verification, your account does not meet the requirements of the replacement plan, and you cannot receive the discount on purchasing a one-year GlobalSign certificate.
- Go to the SSL Certificates Service buy page to purchase a GlobalSign certificate at 50% off.
Important
- The discount is valid only for a limited period of time. A technical expert contacts and informs you of the validity period.
- You can purchase only a one-year GlobalSign certificate at 50% off instead of a multi-year GlobalSign certificate.
- After your account passes the verification, you can apply for a refund for an Entrust certificate when you use the plan. You can apply for a refund only for a certificate that is in the Pending Application, Validating Application, or Not Activated state. You can also apply for a refund before you use the plan.
- Contact the technical experts in the DingTalk group and apply for a refund for an Entrust certificate that is in the Pending Application, Validating Application, or Not Activated state. You cannot apply for a refund for an Entrust certificate that is in the Issued state.
Certificate states and solutions
The following table describes the impacts of the sale suspension on Entrust certificates and the solutions that are provided.
