:How to configure multiple origin servers when adding a domain name

Last Updated:Aug 05, 2025

This topic describes how to configure multiple origin servers in the CDN console when adding a domain name.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the CDN console.

  2. In the navigation pane on the left, click Domain Names.

  3. On the Domain Names page, click Add Domain Name.

  4. In the Origin Servers section, click Add Origin Server. For Origin Info, select IP or Site Domain based on your needs. You can add multiple origin servers.新增源站

    Note
    • Origin fetch policy: 100% of origin fetch traffic is first directed to the primary origin server. If an origin server fails three consecutive health checks, 100% of the traffic is directed to the secondary origin server.

If an active health check is successful, the origin server is marked as available and its priority is restored. If all origin servers have the same priority, CDN automatically uses round-robin for origin fetch.

    • Origin server health check: CDN performs active Layer 4 health checks on origin servers every 5 seconds.

  5. After the configuration, CDN will use round-robin routing across all configured origin servers during content fetching. Therefore, ensure that the content on each origin server is consistent. Otherwise, the data retrieved by CDN may be inconsistent.
