Container Service for Kubernetes:Manage associated clusters

Last Updated:Mar 26, 2026

Associate clusters with a Fleet instance to deploy applications and workloads across regions from a single management entry point. This topic covers how to associate clusters, view their status, and disassociate them from a Fleet instance.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure that you have:

  • Fleet management enabled. For more information, see Enable Fleet management.

  • Network connectivity between the cluster and the Fleet instance:

    ScenarioRequirement
Cluster and Fleet instance in the same virtual private cloud (VPC)The cluster and Fleet instance must be in the same VPC
Cluster and Fleet instance in different VPCsThe cluster must have Internet access, or Cloud Enterprise Network (CEN) must connect the two VPCs
  • No more than 10 clusters per associate or disassociate operation.

Associate clusters with a Fleet instance

  1. Log on to the ACK One console. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Fleet > Associated Clusters.

  2. On the Associate Cluster page, click Add Associated Cluster.

  3. In the Add Associated Cluster panel, select the cluster to associate and click OK.

  4. Refresh the page. The association completes in under 5 minutes. When the cluster status shows Associated, the cluster is associated with the Fleet instance. The following states appear during the association process:

    StatusDescription
ProcessingThe association request is submitted to the Fleet instance.
AssociatingThe Fleet instance received the request and is associating the cluster.
    AssociatedThe cluster is successfully associated.
Failed to AssociateThe system failed to associate the cluster with the Fleet instance.

View associated clusters

  1. Log on to the ACK One console. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Fleet > Associated Clusters.

  2. On the Associate Cluster page, view the list of associated clusters and their current status.

Disassociate clusters from a Fleet instance

  1. Log on to the ACK One console. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Fleet > Associated Clusters.

  2. On the Associate Cluster page, find the target cluster and click Disassociate in the Actions column.

  3. In the confirmation dialog, click OK.

  4. Wait a period of time and refresh the page. When the cluster no longer appears in the list, it is successfully disassociated.
