ApsaraDB RDS:Delete a database

Last Updated:Mar 25, 2024

This topic describes how to delete a database from an ApsaraDB RDS for PostgreSQL instance.

Procedure

Note

After you delete a database from an RDS instance, ApsaraDB RDS reclaims the storage that is occupied by the database. You can check the disk usage of an RDS instance on the Monitoring and Alerts page of the RDS instance in the ApsaraDB RDS console. For more information, see View the Enhanced Monitoring metrics.

  1. Go to the Instances page. In the top navigation bar, select the region in which the RDS instance resides. Then, find the RDS instance and click the ID of the instance.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Databases.

  3. Find the database you want to delete and click Delete in the Actions column.

  4. In the message that appears, click OK.
