To accelerate an application service that is hosted on an ECS instance in a VPC network, complete the following two tasks:

  1. Bind an ECS instance

After you bind an ECS instance of the VPC network to a Global Acceleration instance, a private IP address is assigned to the backend service. The private IP address is an unused IP address from the VSwitch where the ECS instance is located.

  2. Activate the backend service

To activate the backend service, after binding an ECS instance to a Global Acceleration instance, you must add a network sub-interface, using the IP address allocated to the backend service, to the ECS instance.
