Alibaba Cloud DNS PrivateZone:Record Type List

The following table lists the record types supported by PrivateZone.

Type Value description Resource record format
A An IPv4 address in dotted decimal notation. A string that contains uppercase and lowercase letters, digits, at signs (@), asterisks (), and hyphens (-).
AAAA An IPv6 address in colon-separated hexadecimal format. A string that contains uppercase and lowercase letters, digits, at signs (@), asterisks (), and hyphens (-).
MX The names of mail servers. You can set the priority for different mail servers. The priority can be an integer between 1 and 10. A smaller value indicates a higher priority of the mail server. A string that contains uppercase and lowercase letters, digits, at signs (@), asterisks (), and hyphens (-).
TXT Strings that contain uppercase and lowercase letters, digits, spaces, hyphens (-), backslashes (), underscores (_), tildes (~), equal signs (=), colons (:), semicolons (;), forward slashes (/), periods (.), @+^! and asterisks (). The value of a TXT record can be up to 512 characters in length. A string that contains uppercase and lowercase letters, digits, at signs (@), asterisks (), and hyphens (-).
CNAME A domain name to which another domain name is resolved. A string that contains uppercase and lowercase letters, digits, at signs (@), asterisks (), and hyphens (-).
Pointer (PTR) A domain name to which an IP address is resolved. A number between 0 and 255.
