This topic describes how to reset the password of an account of an ApsaraDB for MongoDB instance.

Reset the password of an account of a standalone instance or replica set instance

  1. Log on to the ApsaraDB for MongoDB console.
  2. In the upper-left corner of the page, select the resource group and the region of the target instance.
  3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Replica Set Instances.
  4. Find the target instance and click its ID.
  5. In the left-side navigation pane, click Accounts.
  6. Find the account whose password you want to reset. Then, click Reset Password in the Actions column.
  7. In the Reset Password pane, enter the password of the account in the New Password and Confirm New Password fields.

    • The password must contain at least three of the following character types: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, digits, and special characters. The password can contain the following special characters:

      !@ # $ % ^ & * ( ) _ + =

    • The password must be 8 to 32 characters in length.
  8. Click OK.

Reset the password of an account of a sharded cluster instance

  1. Log on to the ApsaraDB for MongoDB console.
  2. In the upper-left corner of the page, select the resource group and the region of the target instance.
  3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Sharded Cluster Instances.
  4. Find the target instance and click its ID.
  5. In the left-side navigation pane, click Accounts.
  6. Find the account whose password you want to reset. Then, click Reset Password in the Actions column.
  7. In the Reset Password pane, enter the password of the account in the New Password and Confirm New Password fields.
