:Create a user

This section introduces how to create a user.

Prerequisites

You must have access permissions to DMS and be logged on to the DMS console.

Procedure

1. Select an ApsaraDB for MongoDB instance and then click Log on to Database.

2. After you log on to the instance, select New > Users to open the user creation window.

3. Select the Database where you want to create the user from the drop-down list, and then enter the username, password, and Confirm Password in the New User window.

   Notes

   • If you select the admin database, the created user has the highest privilege.

   • You can grant the created user permissions to other databases on the Other Database Permissions tab page.

4. Select the permissions to grant the created user on the current database permissions page and then click OK to create the user.
