:Export SQL result sets

This session describes how to export SQL result sets in DMS.

Prerequisites

You have access permissions to DMS and you have logged on to the DMS console. Select a target database and log on.

Background

This example uses the MySQL database.

Procedure

1. Log on to the DMS console.

2. Select a MySQL database and click Log On to Database. Enter required information and click Log On.

3. On the top menu bar, choose Data Processing > Export to go to the Export page.

4. On the Export page, choose New > Export SQL result sets.

5. On the New page, complete the settings as needed. Select a file type (CSV or SQL_Insert) and a database, set the maximum number of rows of the result set, and enter an SQL statement.

   Note:
   Select advanced options as needed.

6. Click OK. DMS then runs the SQL result set export task. After the export task is completed, DMS automatically downloads the exported files to your local computer. You can click Download Files to download the exported files.

   Note:
   This operation is similar to Export Database.

7. DMS also summarizes the export results and automatically downloads the exported SQL result set files.

8. You can view the SQL result set export tasks that you submitted in the Export History List and download SQL result set files.
