On the Alert Policies page, you can manage all the alert rules in your account and query the history of alert events and alert notifications.

Manage alert rules

The alert rules that you create in Application Monitoring, Browser Monitoring, and Custom Monitoring appear on the Alert Policies page. You can start, stop, edit, or delete alert rules, and view alert details. For more information about how to create an alert rule, see the relevant documentation.

  1. Log on to the ARMS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Alert Management > Alert Policies.

  3. Optional: In the search box on the Alert Policies page, enter an alert name and click Search.

  4. In the search results, find the target alert rule and perform one of the following operations in the Actions column:

    • To edit an alert rule, click Edit. In the Edit Alert Rule dialog box, modify the rule and click Save.

    • To delete an alert rule, click Delete. In the Delete dialog box, click Delete.

    • To start a stopped alert rule, click Start. In the Start dialog box, click Start.

    • To stop an active alert rule, click Stop. In the Stop dialog box, click OK.

    • Click Alert History to view the history of alert events and notifications on the Alert Event History and Alert Notification History tabs.

Query alert history

On the Alert History tab, you can search for triggered alert events and alert notifications sent to specified alert contacts.

  1. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Alerts and Notifications > Alert Policies.

  2. On the Alert History tab, select or enter a trigger state and an Alert Rule Name, and then click Search.

  3. The Alert Event History tab shows the history of alert events.

    Note

    Alert notifications are sent only when the trigger state is Triggered (a red dot appears in the Triggered column).

  4. Click the Alert Notification History tab to view the history of sent alert notifications, such as SMS messages and emails.
