Data Transmission Service:[Notice] The DTS console is gradually integrated into the DMS console as of December 23, 2021

Last Updated:Nov 23, 2022

To improve end-to-end data management experience, the Data Transmission Service (DTS) console is gradually integrated into the Data Management (DMS) console as of December 23, 2021. The DTS console can be used normally before April 1, 2022.

Duration

December 23, 2021 to March 31, 2022

Description

  • The DTS console is gradually integrated into the DMS console as of December 23, 2021. When you log on to the DTS console, a dialog box appears to prompt you to experience the DMS console.

  • The DTS console is no longer supported as of April 1, 2022. You must use the integrated DMS console or DTS API of the new version to manage your DTS tasks.

  • As of April 1, 2022, the integrated DMS console replaces the DTS console and is fully compatible with DTS tasks. Then, you can manage your existing DTS tasks and use DTS in the integrated DMS console.

Details

When you log on to the DTS console, a dialog box appears to prompt you to use DTS in the integrated DMS console. When you use DTS in the DMS console, take note of the following items:

  • When you configure a DTS task, the information of databases can be used directly to specify the source and destination databases for a DTS task. You need to only select the database instances that are added to the DMS console without entering the information such as database connection strings. This speeds up the task configuration process.

  • The following task scenarios are supported: data synchronization across accounts for databases such as ApsaraDB for Redis instances, PolarDB for MySQL clusters, and PolarDB-X instances, two-way synchronization between ApsaraDB for MongoDB instances, and two-way synchronization between PostgreSQL databases.

  • The DMS console serves as an end-to-end web application that provides a variety of related features, such as data assets management, the SQL console, streaming extract-transform-load (ETL), and database development.

Impacts

  • Your existing DTS tasks are not affected during the time period.

  • Before April 1, 2022, the DTS console is not affected. As of April 1, 2022, to manage your existing DTS tasks and create DTS tasks, you must use the integrated DMS console or DTS API of the new version.

Suggestions

We recommend that you use DTS in the DMS console.
