Site monitoring

Scenarios

Site Monitoring is mainly used to simulate actual user access to test availability, connectivity, and DNS resolution.

In Site Monitoring, you can detect domain names, IP addresses, port connectivity, and access response time, and set alarms based on monitoring results.

Note:

  • A maximum of 100 monitoring sites can be created under an Alibaba Cloud account.

  • Currently, Site Monitoring is only supported in China North 1, China North 2, and China East 1 regions.

Create a Site Monitoring

  1. Log on to the CloudMonitor console.

  2. Click Site Management in the left-side navigation pane to enter the Site Monitoring page.

  3. Click Create a Monitoring Site in the upper-right corner of the page.

  4. Enter relevant information in the required fields on the page to create a monitoring site. For more information, see Create site monitoring.

View Site Monitoring data

  1. Log on to the CloudMonitor console.

  2. Click Site Management in the left-side navigation pane to enter the Site Monitoring page.

  3. Click the name of a monitoring site from the list or click Monitoring Chart in the Actions column.

  4. View site monitoring information.

Delete a Site Monitoring

  1. Log on to the CloudMonitor console.

  2. Click Site Management in the left-side navigation pane to enter the Site Monitoring page.

  3. Select the monitoring site to be deleted from the list.

  4. Click Batch Delete under the list to delete the site monitoring.

Set alarm rules

  1. Log on to the CloudMonitor console.

  2. Click Site Management in the left-side navigation pane to enter the Site Monitoring page.

  3. Click Alarm Rules in the Actions column in the monitoring site list to enter the page to set alarm rules. For more information, see Create alarm rules.
