:Bind a RAM user to a cluster

Last Updated:Nov 23, 2021

If you have multiple Elastic High Performance Computing (E-HPC) clusters, you can bind a RAM user to each cluster. This facilitates cluster management. This topic describes how to bind a RAM user to a cluster.

Prerequisites

A RAM user is created. For more information, see Create a RAM user.

Background information

After you bind a RAM user to a cluster, you can access and manage the cluster as the RAM user. For example, you can scale out or stop the cluster, or create jobs in the cluster. RAM users that are not bound to a cluster cannot access or manage the cluster.

Note

If you never bind a RAM user to a cluster, all RAM users can access the cluster by default.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the E-HPC console.

  2. In the top navigation bar, select a region.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Resource Management > User.

  4. On the User page, select a cluster from the Cluster drop-down list and click the Assign a RAM user tab.

  5. On the Assign a RAM user tab, click Assign RAM user.

  6. In the Assign RAM user panel, select a RAM user and click OK.

Then, you can view the RAM user on the Assign a RAM user tab.
