The open source community ended support for MongoDB 3.4 on January 31, 2020. Because continuing to use this version may pose security risks, Alibaba Cloud will end service and support for ApsaraDB for MongoDB 3.4 instances on December 31, 2026. This is known as End of Service (EOS). After this date, Alibaba Cloud will no longer provide support for this version. Upgrade your instances to a later version as soon as possible.

End of sale: New purchases of this version were stopped on January 1, 2023 (UTC+8).
End of renewal: Renewals and specification changes will be unavailable for this version starting June 30, 2026 (UTC+8).
End of service: All services for this version will be stopped on December 31, 2026 (UTC+8).
Impacts
As of the end of sale date, Alibaba Cloud no longer accepts new orders for this product or provides new feature iterations, such as feature updates and patches.
As of the end of renewal date, Alibaba Cloud no longer accepts orders for renewals or specification changes.
As of the end of service date, Alibaba Cloud will no longer provide documentation, data storage, or technical support for this version. In addition, if an instance is not upgraded before the end of service date, the system will automatically perform a mandatory upgrade to MongoDB 4.0 during the instance's O&M window.

Recommended actions
To avoid business disruptions, upgrade your instances before the end of service date.
We recommend that you upgrade to MongoDB 6.0 or later.
To upgrade to MongoDB 4.0 or 4.2, you can upgrade the instances directly in the console. For more information, see Upgrade an instance.
To upgrade to MongoDB 4.4 or a later version, you can create a new instance of that version and use Data Transmission Service (DTS) to migrate data from the source instance to the new instance. For more information, see DTS documentation.
