Hologres:Create a budget alarm

Last Updated:Mar 26, 2026

Budget Management monitors your Hologres spending and sends notifications by phone, text message, email, or DingTalk when costs reach a defined threshold. Use it to catch unexpected charges before they accumulate.

How Budget Management works

Budget Management tracks your Hologres pay-as-you-go spending—including time-based elastic compute resources and Serverless Computing resources—as well as your overall Hologres spending across both billing methods (subscription and pay-as-you-go).

It triggers alerts in two situations:

Alert type Trigger condition
Actual cost alert Your spending has already reached the alert threshold
Predicted cost alert Projected spending for the period is on track to reach the alert threshold

When either condition is met, the system sends a notification through the channels you configure when creating the budget.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure that you have:

If this is your first time using Budget Management, enable it before proceeding. On the Budget Management page, click Enable for Free. The feature becomes available 24 hours after activation, provided that consumption data has been generated.

Set up a cost budget and alert

  1. Log on to the Expenses and Costs console. In the navigation pane, click Costs > Budget Management.

  2. Create a budget. For detailed steps, see Budget management. You can set the budget on a yearly, quarterly, or monthly basis. Configure the following key parameters:

    Parameter Description
Select budget type Select Cost Budget.
Budget scope Define the spending scope to monitor. Combine filters—such as region, product details (subscription or pay-as-you-go products), and consumption type (subscription or pay-as-you-go)—to target specific billable items and avoid monitoring gaps.
  3. Review the budget details, then click Submit. The budget and its alert notifications are created.
