    Alibaba Cloud Linux:Release notes for CUDA images

    Compute Unified Device Architecture (CUDA) images are pre-installed with the NVIDIA CUDA Toolkit and related toolchains, facilitating quick deployment of GPU-accelerated computing workloads, such as deep learning and scientific computing, on Alibaba Cloud.

    CUDA images

    Alibaba Cloud released the following series of images for different CUDA versions:

    • cuda-base images: contain the CUDA runtime (cudart).

    • cuda-runtime images: are built on cuda-base images and contain the CUDA Math library and NVIDIA Collective Communication Library (NCCL).

    • cuda-devel images: are built on cuda-runtime images and contain the CUDA header files and CUDA developer tools.

    • cuda-cudnn-runtime images: are built on cuda-runtime images and contain the NVIDIA CUDA Deep Neural Network (cuDNN) library files.

    • cuda-cudnn-devel images: are built on cuda-devel images and contain the cuDNN library files, header files, and development libraries.

    Note

    CUDA images are upgraded to cuda-profiling images, which support CUDA versions, such as CUDA 12.1.1, 12.6.3, and 12.8.0.
