Announcement Details:
IMDA provides an update on the Full SMS Sender ID Registry ("SSIR") Regime, which commenced on 31 January 2023. The impact of anti-scam measures on businesses and consumers has been under close scrutiny during the 6-month transitionary period.
The current approach of converting non-registered Sender IDs to "Likely-SCAM" will remain in effect and will not be block until further notice. IMDA assures Participating Licensees of sufficient time for adjustments if any changes occur.
