This topic describes how to modify the specification of a virtual border router (VBR) to meet your business requirements.

Background information

  • You cannot modify the port specification of an Express Connect circuit.
  • After you modify the specification of a VBR, you cannot modify the specification again until the new billing cycle starts. You can modify the specification of the VBR again after the new billing cycle starts.
  • You cannot cancel the order or get a refund from the order that you have placed for modifying specifications.

Upgrade

  1. Log on to the Express Connect console.
  2. In the top navigation bar, select the region and click Exclusive Physical Connection in the left-side navigation pane.
  3. Click the ID of the Express Connect circuit that you want to manage.
  4. Find the VBR and choose More > Upgrade in the Actions column.
  5. On the Renew and Upgrade/Downgrade page, specify a maximum bandwidth value and select Terms of Service.
  6. Click Buy Now and complete the payment.

Renew a VBR and resize its bandwidth

  1. Log on to the Express Connect console.
  2. In the top navigation bar, select the region and click Exclusive Physical Connection in the left-side navigation pane.
  3. Click the ID of the Express Connect circuit that you want to manage.
  4. Find the VBR that you want to renew and choose More > Renew and Upgrade/Downgrade in the Actions column.
  5. On the Renew and Upgrade/Downgrade page, select a billing cycle, specify a bandwidth value, and then select Terms of Service.
  6. Click Buy Now and complete the payment.
