This topic describes how to restore data across regions.
Prerequisite
Before you perform cross-region restoration, ensure that the following conditions are met:
The cross-region backup feature is enabled for the instance.
The instance already has a backup set that has been dumped.
Method
Cross-region restoration supports two full restoration methods: by point-in-time and by backup set. Take note of the following parameters on the Restore Instance page.
Parameter | Description |
Region | Select the region where the desired backup set resides. Available regions include the region where the original instance resides and the region where cross-region backup is enabled. |
Region and Zone | Select the target region and zone to which you want to restore data. The available regions include the region where the original instance resides and the region where cross-region backup is enabled. |
