    This topic describes how to get started with Alibaba Cloud Public DNS Commercial Edition.

    Procedure

    1. Activate Public DNS in the Alibaba Cloud DNS console.

      After this service is activated, Public DNS provides a free monthly quota of resolutions. If your monthly free quota is used up, you are charged for excess resolutions on a pay-as-you-go basis. For detailed information about billing method, see Pricing and Overdue payments and refunds.

    2. (Required) Enable the service authentication feature.

      You can use an AccessKey pair for authentication to access Public DNS only when the service authentication feature is enabled. For more information, see Service authentication.

    3. Complete access-related configurations.

      Select an access method and complete the related configurations to access Public DNS. For more information, see Access configuration.

    4. View statistics on DNS requests in the console.

      After the service is accessed, the statistics on Domain Name System (DNS) requests are displayed on the Traffic Analysis tab on the Recursive Resolution (Public DNS) page in the Alibaba Cloud DNS console.
