Resolve metadata inconsistency during schema design

When you change a schema in the Data Management Service (DMS) console, you may find that the schema displayed in the ticket is inconsistent with the schema in the change base database. This topic describes how to resolve this issue of schema inconsistency.


  1. Log on to the DMS console.

  2. In the top navigation bar, choose Schemas > Schema Design. The Schema DesignTickets page appears.

  3. Click the ticket number of the ticket in which you find the schema inconsistency. The Project Homepage of the ticket appears.

  4. On the Tables Changed in Project tab of the Project Homepage page, find the target table and click Delete Table in the Actions column.

  5. In the dialog box that appears, read and select the terms one by one, and then click Confirm Deletion.


    • Before you delete the table, read and select all the terms that warn you of the risks.
    • If the table you want to delete has been changed in multiple tickets, these tickets are viewed as associated tickets of the table. You need to delete this table for the associated tickets whose status is Designing. You do not need to do the same for the associated tickets whose status is Published or Closed. Make sure that the table you are about to delete has no associated tickets.
  6. In the Physical Table panel, click the target table and select Design Table. The system will recollect database metadata and display the actual metadata in the DMS console.
