The pricing for Elastic GPU Service is the same as that for Elastic Compute Service (ECS). This topic describes billable items and billing methods for Elastic GPU Service. This topic also describes how to manage the billable items.

Billable items

Billable item Description
Instance types You are charged based on the instance specifications, such as vCPUs and memory. Instance prices may vary between regions. For more information, see the ECS pricing page.
Images You may be charged for the images that you use. Images are classified into public images, custom images, shared images, and Alibaba Cloud Marketplace images. The pricing for the images varies based on the image types.
Elastic Block Storage devices Elastic Block Storage (EBS) devices are classified into cloud disks and local disks. Cloud disks are billed based on unit prices, disk capacity, and usage duration. The billing methods of cloud disks vary based on how the disks are created. Local disks are available only for specific instance types. Local disks must be created at the same time you create an instance, and cannot be created separately. The fees of the local disk are included in the bill of the instance to which the disk is attached.
Public bandwidth ECS instances allow you to access the Internet over public IP addresses, elastic IP addresses (EIPs), or NAT gateways. This topic describes how the network usage fee is calculated when ECS instances use public IP addresses to access the Internet. EIP and NAT Gateway (NAT) are sold separately. For billing details about EIP and NAT, see Billing overview and Billing overview.
Snapshots Snapshots are point-in-time backups of disks and are used for disaster recovery and environment clone. You are charged when you create snapshots, copy snapshots, and use the instant access feature.

Billing methods

Billing method Description
Subscription A billing method in which you pay an upfront fee for resources to secure the resources for a period of time. This billing method allows you to reserve resources in advance at discounted rates.
Pay-as-you-go A billing method in which you pay for resources after you use them. This billing method allows you to purchase and release resources as needed. Compared with traditional hosting solutions, this billing method can reduce costs by 30% to 80%.
Preemptible instance A billing method in which you can purchase pay-as-you-go instances at discounted rates. This billing method is applicable to some scenarios and is a viable option to reduce costs.
SCU A storage capacity unit (SCU) uses the subscription billing method. After you purchase an SCU, you can use it to offset bills of different pay-as-you-go storage resources.
Savings plans A savings plan is a discount plan that allows you to receive billing discounts in exchange for a commitment to use a predefined amount of resources over one or three years (unit: USD/hour). After you purchase a savings plan, the hourly bills of your pay-as-you-go instances are offset by the amount of the plan.
