This topic describes the editions, running status, and limits of Message Queue for RabbitMQ instances. The information helps you select an appropriate instance based on your business requirements.

Instance editions

Note Message Queue for RabbitMQ instances of Basic Edition are deprecated. You can continue to use the existing instances of Basic Edition.

Message Queue for RabbitMQ provides the following instance editions:

  • Professional Edition: a shared instance with high service availability. An instance of this edition is logically isolated and supports multi-node deployment and multiple data replicas.
  • Enterprise Platinum Edition: a dedicated instance with high service availability. An instance of this edition is physically isolated and supports multi-node deployment, multiple data replicas, and advanced features.

Running status

The running status of a Message Queue for RabbitMQ instance varies based on the billing method of the instance and the instance edition.

Deploying
  • An instance in this state is unavailable.
  • An instance of Enterprise Platinum Edition must be deployed by technical support after the instance is purchased. Therefore, this state applies only to instances of Enterprise Platinum Edition.
Running
  • An instance in this state is available.
  • An instance of Professional Edition enters the Running state after the instance is purchased.
Stopped
  • An instance in this state is unavailable.
  • The resources and data of an instance in this state are retained and can be recovered.
Released
  • An instance in this state is unavailable.
  • The resources and data of an instance in this state are deleted and cannot be recovered.
Deleted
  • An instance in this state is unavailable.
  • The resources and data of an instance in this state are deleted and cannot be recovered.
