After you create a Cloud Enterprise Network (CEN) instance, you can attach network
instances to the CEN instance. Supported network instances are virtual private clouds
(VPCs), virtual border routers (VBRs), and Cloud Connect Network (CCN) instances.
After you attach network instances to a CEN instance, the CEN instance automatically
learns routes from the attached network instances. Then, the network instances can
communicate with each other.
Prerequisites
Before you attach network instances, make sure that the following requirements are
met:
Background information
cen-abc123 is a CEN instance created by account 87654321, as shown in the preceding
figure. The network instance vpc-b123 is created by the same account and the network
instance vpc-a321 is created by a different account. You can attach both network instances
to the CEN instance to enable them to communicate with each other.
Attach a network instance that is created by the same account
To attach vpc-b123 to cen-abc123, perform the following operations:
- Log on to the CEN console.
- On the Instances page, find the CEN instance that you want to manage and click its ID.
- Click the Networks tab and click Attach Network.
- Click the Your Account tab.
- Network Type: Select the type of the network instance to attach.
Supported network instances are VPCs, VBRs, and CCN instances.
- Region: Select the region where the network instance is created.
- Networks: Select the network instance that you want to attach. In this example, vpc-b123 is
selected.
- Click OK.
Attach a network instance that is created by a different account
Notice Before you attach a network instance created by another account, you must acquire
the required permissions on the network instance. After you acquire the permissions,
make sure that the ID of the account and the ID of the network instance that you want
to attach are obtained.
