Cloud Firewall:Free trial

This topic describes the free trial of Cloud Firewall that uses the pay-as-you-go billing method.

Limits

  • Enterprise users or individual users who passed verification can use the free trial.

  • Each user can use the free trial only once.

Usage notes

Alibaba Cloud provides a Cloud Firewall pay-as-you-go savings plan of USD 50 to offset the fees generated for the usage of the billable items of Cloud Firewall that uses the pay-as-you-go billing method during the free trial.

All features of Cloud Firewall that uses the pay-as-you-go billing method are supported during the free trial. For more information about the features supported by Cloud Firewall that uses the pay-as-you-go billing method, see Functions and features.

The following flowchart shows the procedure of the free trial.

Procedure

  1. Go to the Cloud Firewall free trial page.

  2. Click Try Now. In the Cloud Firewall panel, view the specifications of the free trial.

  3. Read and select Terms of Service and click Try Now.

    Then, your account will receive a trial amount of USD 50. You can view the trial amount on the Savings Plan > Overview page in the Billing Management console.

The validity period of the free trial of Cloud Firewall that uses the pay-as-you-go billing method is no greater than 3 months, and the trial amount is no more than USD 50. After the free trial ends or the trial amount is exhausted, Cloud Firewall no longer protects your assets. If you want to continue using Cloud Firewall that uses the pay-as-you-go billing method, we recommend that you purchase a pay-as-you-go savings plan to reduce costs. If you no longer want to use Cloud Firewall that uses the pay-as-you-go billing method, you can release it.

Note

After you purchase a pay-as-you-go savings plan, the savings plan immediately takes effect. The bill for Cloud Firewall that uses the pay-as-you-go billing method for the previous day is settled at 18:00 every day. Therefore, a savings plan is used to offset the fees that are generated on Day T+1.

For example, if you purchase a pay-as-you-go savings plan at 15:00 on July 20, you can use the pay-as-you-go savings plan to offset the fees that are generated after 15:00 on July 20. The bill for the fees generated on July 20 is settled on July 21.
